Glenn Newell has worked with audio and electronics almost his entire life, starting with sound and stage lighting through church and school activities, then, as a young adult, radio broadcast engineering & recording, and pro sound reinforcement and stage lighting.
In the late 70’s and early 80’s Glenn made his living on the central coast of California, as chief engineer at KCBX Radio, partner in San Luis Obispo Communications (broadcast engineering and maintenance), and system architect and crew chief for the Music Factory (sound reinforcement and stage lighting rental and concert services). In those capacities Glenn:
Designed and built a 2 studio broadcast complex for KCBX radio
Designed and built a 24 ch. computerized stage lighting controller for the Cal Poly Theatre as his senior project.
Engineered numerous remote music broadcasts and recordings, including 24x8x4 recording and stereo mix of Tom Scott, live at Pismo Beach, which was used on National Public Radio’s Jazz Alive program, as well as, Sound and Stage lighting for many well-known bands such as…

And many others!

Glenn also studied music at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in electronics.
More recently Glenn has been involved in multi-channel surround sound, creating software for up mixing stereo to 5.1 or 7.1 channels (www.surroundbyus.com) and now returning to his love of music and electronics via a mobile recording and mixing service, specializing in surround sound.
